Beyond 8 partnered with Google and Creative Theory Agency to create an immersive, storytelling-driven event centered on Image Equity in support of Google Pixel’s Real Tone launch.

The experience guided guests through a deeply researched journey from the 1800s into the future, highlighting pivotal moments in visual representation, from Frederick Douglass as the most photographed man of his time, to the rise of on-screen representation in the 1960s and 70s, a reimagined Shirley Card reflecting a broader spectrum of skin tones, and an AR-driven vision of the future. Following a private opening, Beyond 8 welcomed students from the local community, extending the impact and educational reach of the experience.
