Founded in 2016 by Brittney Escovedo, Beyond 8 envisions a world where creatives and brands are empowered to fully actualize their vision through thoughtful, purpose-driven production where every detail matters.

OUR WORK
Since 2018, Beyond 8 has partnered with Culture Con to shape the annual conference into a premier destination for creatives of color. In collaboration with founder Imani Ellis, the team developed a cohesive camp-inspired visual identity that unified the event experience while attracting major sponsors. Beyond 8 led creative direction, custom fabrication, and production—designing stages and sets, immersive photo moments, and all event graphics and printed collateral. The team also managed AV, lighting, permitting, power, registration and entryway design, décor, directional signage, talent direction, stage management for both the Culture and Creator stages, and on-site staff and guest flow. Produced in Brooklyn since its inception, Culture Con scaled from a one-day event with 750 attendees in 2018 to a two-day conference welcoming more than 5,000 attendees per day in 2024, with additional expansions to a virtual format in 2021 and to Atlanta in 2022.

LARGE SCALE CONFERENCE PRODUCTION
Beyond 8 partnered with BET to produce immersive brand experiences for the BET Fan Fest at the Los Angeles Convention Center, engaging more than 20,000 attendees across a two-day festival. For the second consecutive year, the team concepted and executed ten custom activations designed to spotlight talent and key partners including SheaMoisture, Dove, and Vaseline.
Programming ranged from cast panels with Sistas and live performances by All The Queen’s Men at Club Eden, to hands-on moments such as Vaseline hand massages, Dove floral crown making, SheaMoisture salon touch-ups, and multiple live shows on 106 & Park. Beyond 8 also brought SheaMoisture’s deodorant launch to life through a special giveaway at the celebrity basketball game, delivering high-impact engagement for both fans and brand partners.
7 BRAND ACTIVATIONS
BETX Los Angeles
Beyond 8 partnered with Solange to execute In Service To Whom, a four-act, 84-minute performance staged inside a former World War II oil tank as the headlining program of Volume, a festival curated by the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
Presented over three days, the performance featured a 10-piece ensemble, performance-specific scenography, and immersive digital projections. Beyond 8 stage managed and show called the entire production, coordinated stage design, live band, backline, AV, and lighting, arranged rehearsals , and liaised closely with the Art Gallery of New South Wales on all production logistics.
